There is a big difference between denial of self and denial of sexuality.  We are created as sexual beings.  Modest, correct, appropriate acknowledgement of our interest in sex and sexuality is normal and good.  Whatever is your sex, it automatically has an important impact on how you interact with people and how they interact with you.  It is a powerful impact on all our relationships, hopefully But it need not obsess and control us.

We’re told that we are ALL tempted in common ways.  The author of this site has been tempted--really tempted.  Others he knows have been tempted.  Some have given in to the temptation.  Most who do hate themselves afterwards although it’s not cool to say so--and so many of us are desperate for real friendship and approval.

So, many stay silent.

Maybe I can’t speak for you but I can speak for myself.

At the bottom of the page is the link to a great story about someone who went public about his temptation.  Each of us has stories like this--some success stories and some failures.  It’s stuff we all deal with...or try to.  On our own we don’t do very well.  Oddly, the more pride we try to conceal, the worse we do.  Good news!  God will help you if you humbly ask.
